We’re so glad you found us! We’re the duo behind Your First Dance, and we couldn’t be more excited to share our passion for dance with you.
By day, we’re dedicated dance instructors, working with adults and children of all skill levels. But what really warms our hearts is helping couples create that unforgettable first wedding dance.
Here’s a fun fact about us: we manage all of this while living more than 1,000 kilometers apart! Magda based in Poland, and Michael in Scotland. Our story shows that distance doesn’t matter when you’re fueled by a shared love for dance and teaching.
For us, teaching and dancing aren’t just jobs—they’re a big part of who we are. Seeing your smiles after each practice session is our greatest reward and the best feedback we could ever ask for.
Meet Magda!
For more than 20 years, ballroom dancing has been my passion, and I honestly can’t imagine my life without it!
Not only do I love it, but I’ve also reached some impressive results. I’m currently ranked 10th in the world and 8th in Europe in professional division in Latin American dances.
Every day, I train at the ZAMEK Dance School in Lublin, preparing kids and teens for ballroom competitions. I also run workshops for women, focusing on their well-being and boosting their self-esteem and confidence. And what I cherish most is helping couples prepare for their first dance!

Meet Michael!
My dance journey started nearly 20 years ago. I still remember walking into that first class and instantly knowing that ballroom dancing was my true calling. Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to competing and improving my dance skills in Poland.
With passion and hard work, I've achieved some great successes, including reaching the Polish Championship finals, winning numerous Grand Prix of Poland events, and making it to the finals of many prestigious international competitions.
Now, I’m thrilled to see my dreams come true as I run the Ballroom Dance Studio in Aberdeen, Scotland (@bdstudioaberdeen). At my studio, we offer classes for children, adults, and, of course, first wedding dance lessons.
